In a new scientific achievement added to Kafrelsheikh University’s record of continuous successes, the local scientific journals issued by the university’s faculties have achieved outstanding results in the Supreme Council of Universities’ evaluation of Egyptian scientific journals for the year 2026. This once again confirms the university’s position as one of the leading universities in supporting scientific research, developing the academic publishing system, and enhancing the quality of scientific output according to the highest local and international standards.
This achievement reflects the extent of development witnessed by Kafrelsheikh University in the field of scientific research, and the continuous efforts made by the university administration and the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector to elevate scientific journals, improve the quality of peer review and publishing, and increase their scientific impact — in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, President of the University, affirms that the results achieved by the university’s scientific journals in the Supreme Council of Universities’ evaluation represent a new testament to the success of the university’s strategy in building an advanced research system based on quality, innovation, and excellence. He points out that the university is no longer content with local competition, but is moving with steady steps toward strengthening its presence at both the regional and international levels.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid explains that Kafrelsheikh University views its scientific journals as the academic face of the university and the true mirror reflecting the quality of its scientific research. For this reason, the university has been keen in recent years to develop them comprehensively — starting from updating regulations, raising the efficiency of editorial boards, and applying rigorous peer-review standards, all the way to complete digital transformation. This ensures the provision of reliable scientific content capable of competing effectively.
The President adds that this achievement is the fruit of the collective efforts of the university’s faculties, the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector, journal editorial boards, researchers, and faculty members. It confirms that Kafrelsheikh University possesses a research environment capable of producing knowledge, creating scientific impact, and competing strongly at all levels. The university’s goal in the coming phase is to move a larger number of journals into global databases, increase impact factors, and make the university’s journals a preferred destination for researchers from inside and outside Egypt.
Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, affirms that the results of the Supreme Council of Universities’ evaluation reflect the significant progress witnessed by the university’s scientific publishing system in the recent period, following the implementation of an integrated plan to develop the scientific journals in accordance with the latest international standards.
The evaluation results of Kafrelsheikh University’s scientific journals confirm the university’s excellence in numerous fields and specializations. The Egyptian Journal of Artificial Intelligence (issued by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence) tops the list with 8 points, the highest score obtained by any scientific journal at the university this year.
The Journal of Contemporary Technology and Applied Engineering (JCTAE), issued by the Faculty of Engineering, achieves 7.5 points, along with the International Egyptian Journal of Nursing Sciences and Research, issued by the Faculty of Nursing, which also scores 7.5 points.

· Journal of the Faculty of Education, Kafrelsheikh University (Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journal) – Faculty of Education
Meanwhile, the Kafrelsheikh Veterinary Medical Journal, issued by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, scores 6 points.
The evaluation results of Kafrelsheikh University’s scientific journals are distributed as follows:

3) 9 journals scores 7 points
4) 1 journal scores 6 points
These results represent a clear indicator of the expanding base of research excellence within the university and the diversity of specializations achieving advanced levels in the quality of scientific publishing.
