Kafrelsheikh University receives Ministry of Health Committee to Monitor the Viral Hepatitis Unit as Part of the Sequelae Surveillance Program

In line with the directives of the political leadership and the Egyptian state’s keenness to support the healthcare system and enhance the quality of services provided to citizens, and as a continuation of Egypt’s leading successes in eliminating Hepatitis C virus, Kafrelsheikh University Hospital receives a visit from the Viral Hepatitis Committee of the Ministry of Health and Population.

The visit, held under the patronage of Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University, aims to follow up the workflow of the Viral Hepatitis Unit in light of the implementation of the Sequelae Surveillance Program. This program seeks to evaluate performance and ensure the sustainability of healthcare services according to the highest international standards.

Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University, affirms that this visit is within the framework of the university’s commitment to supporting presidential initiatives in the health sector. He points out that Kafrelsheikh University places the provision of distinguished medical services according to the latest international standards at the top of its priorities.

Otherwise, Prof. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, states that university hospitals are committed to the continuous development of infrastructure and medical equipment, alongside raising the efficiency of human cadres. This ensures the provision of safe, high-quality healthcare services. He confirms that the Viral Hepatitis Unit is witnessing remarkable progress in performance and is applying the latest globally approved treatment protocols, thereby supporting the success of national initiatives in this field.

Dr. Hani Hamed, Executive Director of University Hospitals, indicates that the visit represents an important step in evaluating performance and strengthening points of excellence within the work system.
