The Distinguished Programs Council holds its regular meeting for March 2026, chaired by Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University. This takes place as part of the university’s commitment to developing distinguished educational programs and enhancing the competitiveness of its graduates.
During the meeting, discussions focus on ways to develop the distinguished programs across the various faculties in line with the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor market. The council also reviews mechanisms for updating academic regulations and expanding the base of interdisciplinary programs and modern specializations that meet future needs.
The council also addresses the importance of supporting innovation in the educational process and activating partnerships with international universities and institutions. This contributes to improving student efficiency and developing their practical and applied skills. In addition, proposals are discussed for introducing new programs based on the credit-hour system in several faculties.
Prof. Yahya Eid affirms that the university attaches great importance to the distinguished programs, considering them one of the main pillars for developing the university education system. He points out that these programs contribute to preparing graduates who are capable of competing in the job market and keeping pace with rapid technological developments.
Prof. Yahya Eid also highlights the importance of integrating academic and applied aspects within the distinguished programs. He confirms the need to focus on developing students’ personal and professional skills and linking academic courses to practical reality, in order to achieve maximum benefit for the students.
The President concludes the council’s work by emphasizing that the university will spare no effort in providing advanced educational programs that keep pace with the requirements of the era and contribute to building qualified human cadres capable of creativity and innovation, thereby serving the goals of sustainable development.
