Annual Iftar Ceremony for International Students Attended by the Minister of Higher Education

A number of international students from the university participates in the activities of the annual Iftar ceremony for international students, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event is attended by Prof. Abdelaziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with several universities’ presidents, ministry leaders, ambassadors, cultural attachés, and international students from various Egyptian universities.

In his speech, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Abdelaziz Qansouh affirmed that the ministry is working to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to develop the higher education and scientific research system. This is being achieved through the adoption of clear executive plans and visions aimed at raising the competitiveness of graduates and equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to meet labor market demands. He points out that Egypt possesses a distinguished human wealth that must be invested to enhance its status and pioneering role regionally and internationally.

The minister highlights the ongoing efforts of the ministry to develop the services provided to students wishing to study at Egyptian universities from various nationalities. This is facilitated through streamlined application and registration procedures via the “Study in Egypt” platform, which contributes to delivering an outstanding educational experience for international students and strengthens Egypt’s position as a leading educational destination in higher education and scientific research.

He also confirms that attracting international students represents an important priority in the ministry’s strategy. Egyptian universities are working to provide a comprehensive educational environment that enriches the experience of international students, who serve as ambassadors for their countries and an important pillar of Egypt’s soft power.

In this context, the President Prof. Yahya Eid affirms that the university attaches great importance to international students and works to provide them with a fully integrated educational and cultural environment. This reflects the civilizational and educational role that Egyptian universities play in supporting relations with various countries around the world.

The university president notes that the participation of the university’s international students in such events strengthens their sense of belonging and supports cultural and civilizational communication among students of different nationalities. He reaffirms Kafrelsheikh University’s commitment to providing the best academic and administrative services to international students and offering all forms of support that enable them to achieve academic excellence and integrate into the university community.

Prof. Yahya Eid adds that the university operates within the framework of the Egyptian state’s strategy and the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance Egypt’s status as an educational destination for students from around the world. He points out that Kafrelsheikh University is witnessing increasing interest from international students from many brotherly and friendly countries, reflecting confidence in the quality of education offered by the university.

For his part, Prof. Osama Wafa, General Coordinator for International Students at Kafrelsheikh University, explains that the participation of the university’s students in the annual Iftar ceremony for international students represents an important opportunity to enhance communication among international students across Egyptian universities and to exchange cultural and educational experiences. He affirms the university administration’s keenness to follow up the conditions of international students and provide all facilitations that ensure them an outstanding educational experience at Kafrelsheikh University.
