Seminar on "Pre-Marriage Counseling" to enhance Family Awareness among Youth at the Faculty of Specific Education

Within the framework of the university's awareness-raising and educational role in promoting community awareness and strengthening sound family values, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university organizes, on Sunday, March 8, an awareness seminar entitled "Pre-Marriage Counseling." The event is held at the Faculty of Specific Education in cooperation with the Kafrelsheikh Preaching Department affiliated with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

The seminar is held as part of the university's interest in raising awareness among young people approaching marriage about the importance of psychological and social preparation for family life, which contributes to building a stable family capable of facing various challenges.

Prof. Yahya Eid confirms that the university places great importance on organizing awareness seminars and events targeting its students, particularly those related to building a sound Egyptian family. He points out that the pre-marriage stage represents an important step in the lives of young people and requires a significant level of awareness and responsibility. He adds that these seminars help educate students on the foundations for choosing a life partner, as well as the rights and duties of each party, thereby achieving family stability and enhancing societal cohesion.

Otherwise, Prof. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, affirms that the university is keen to implement educational programs and seminars that contribute to raising students' awareness of important societal issues, foremost among them family and marriage matters. She explains that promoting the culture of pre-marriage counseling helps young people understand the nature of married life and its requirements, and reduces many future family problems.

The seminar features a lecture by Preacher Manal Atwa from the Kafrelsheikh Preaching Department. In her talk, she addresses the importance of pre-marriage counseling and its role in educating young men and women about the foundations for building a successful marital life based on mutual understanding and respect. She also clarifies the most important criteria that should be considered when choosing a life partner, as well as the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding between spouses from the beginning of the relationship.

 

The seminar also covers several important topics, including the mutual rights and duties between spouses, the importance of intellectual and social compatibility, the role of the family in supporting children during the preparation stage for marriage, in addition to confirming the religious and moral values that contribute to building a stable and cohesive family.
