Seminar for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship Culture among Students with the Attendance of a Select Group of Experts

Kafrelsheikh University organizes an extensive introductory seminar to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment among students. The event is held under the patronage of Prof. Yahya Eid, President of the University, and Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research. It aligns with the university’s strategy to empower youth and support their innovative capabilities, in line with the state’s direction toward a knowledge-based economy and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Prof. Yahya Eid confirms that the university attaches great importance to entrepreneurship as one of the main pillars for achieving sustainable development. He notes that building an entrepreneurial mindset among students is no longer an option but an inevitable necessity imposed by the challenges of the contemporary labor market.

He adds that the university is working to provide an educational environment that encourages creativity and innovation through specialized centers, training programs, and partnerships with civil society institutions and the industrial sector. The goal is to transform innovative ideas into real projects that support the national economy and create genuine job opportunities for youth.

The Faculty of Agriculture hosts the seminar’s activities, with the attendance of Prof. Roshdy El-Adawy, Dean of the Faculty and General Coordinator of Student Activities. He welcomes the attendees and confirms the importance of integrating students into the entrepreneurship system and creating a supportive environment to unleash their creative energies.

The seminar is organized by the Entrepreneurship Team under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Shousha, Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Director of the TICO Center, and the University’s Entrepreneurship Club. The event aims to introduce students to the concept of entrepreneurship, mechanisms for turning ideas into executable business models, and to review the technical and technological support opportunities available within the university.

The seminar features Prof. Sameh Abu El-Dahab, Professor of Business Administration and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Postgraduate Studies and Research. He delivers a comprehensive presentation on the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur and the challenges facing startups, affirming that universities serve as the primary incubator for innovative ideas capable of transforming into promising economic entities.

Dr. Ghada Hamisa, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering – Department of Computer Engineering and Control Systems, speaks about the role of digital transformation and technological innovation in creating new opportunities for youth. She confirms the importance of employing technology to provide smart solutions that serve society.

Otherwise, Dr. Mohamed El-Maghraby, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Director of the Entrepreneurship Club, praises the institutional support provided by the university to students. He confirms that promoting a culture of self-employment contributes to instilling the concepts of initiative and professional independence among youth.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the Entrepreneurship Team presents an introductory overview of upcoming training programs and initiatives. These include applied workshops, competitions for the best entrepreneurial ideas, and incubation programs for student projects, amid significant interaction and praise from attendees.
