Faculty of Computers and Information Organizes the Fifth Employability Forum with Participation from Major Technology Companies

The Faculty of Computers and Information holds today, Sunday, 23/11/2025, its Fifth Employability Forum aims at preparing its students for the job market.

In his speech, Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of the University, confirms that holding this forum for the fifth consecutive year reflects the university’s strategic vision of linking education with the needs of the labor market and enhancing graduates’ readiness to compete in the rapidly evolving technology sector.

The president confirms the institution’s keenness to produce graduates capable of keeping pace with global developments in computer science and information systems. He points out that the forum provides students with a real opportunity to interact directly with specialized companies, learn about current employment requirements and the technical and soft skills demanded by employers, and adds that preparing young people for the future is an investment in the nation’s capabilities. He expresses full confidence that students of the Faculty of Computers and Information possess the potential to excel and innovate.

Otherwise, Prof. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, confirms that the forum represents one of the most important bridges of communication between the university and the job market. She highlights the university’s commitment to opening new horizons for both current students and graduates, explaining that the main objective is to build highly competent cadres capable of seamlessly integrating into the workforce. She notes that the presence of the faculty’s alumni who now work at the largest telecommunications and IT companies serves as a source of inspiration and support for current students and helps clarify their career vision.

In the same context, Prof. Osama Abu Saada, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, explains that the fifth edition of the forum witnesses active participation from major companies operating in the fields of computer science, information systems, and information technology. These companies deliver lectures and workshops on employment requirements and the technical and personal skills graduates need. He adds that a large number of outstanding student projects and CVs are presented to the participating companies with the aim of gaining support or sponsorship for these projects.
