Kafrelsheikh University launches a large-scale blood donation campaign at Kafrelsheikh University Hospital, with the participation of a significant number of students enrolled in the military education course.
Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Acting President of Kafrelsheikh University, confirms the importance of such initiatives, noting that the Military Education Department aims, through this campaign, to foster a spirit of belonging and positive community engagement among university students, enabling them to play an active role in saving lives and meeting the hospitals’ needs for blood—particularly in providing all blood types for children, cancer patients, and accident victims.
Otherwise, Prof. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, notes that blood donation does not only help save the lives of others but also offers health benefits to donors themselves. It contributes to the renewal of blood cells, improves blood circulation, and can aid in treating certain medical conditions such as polycythemia.
It is worth mentioning that the campaign is accompanied by a seminar addressing several health and awareness-related topics, most notably the benefits of blood donation and its positive impact on donors, such as enhancing overall health and stimulating blood circulation. The seminar also highlights the significant benefits of blood donation on the national level, particularly in ensuring adequate blood supplies for emergency cases and meeting hospital demands.
