Kafrelsheikh University Ranks the Fifth Place Nationally in THE Impact Ranking 2025 for Sustainable Development Goals

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, announces that the university has maintained its global position in the 601–800 globally for the third consecutive year in THE Impact Rankings for Sustainable Development Goals, which is issued annually for 2,300 international universities from 130 countries. Locally, Kafrelsheikh University ranks the fifth place among 51 Egyptian universities included in the 2025 ranking.

The President of Kafrelsheikh University points out that the university ranks 201-300 globally in the Sustainable Development Goals (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions - Reducing Emissions - Life and Land - Life Below Water - Sustainable Cities and Communities). The university also ranks 301-400 globally in the goals (Zero Hunger - Clean Water), 401-500 globally in the goals (Life Sciences - Physical Sciences - Consumption and Production - Climate Action - Affordable and Clean Energy - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure - Poverty Eradication), 501-600 globally in the Engineering Goal, and 601-800 in the goals (Good Health - Gender Equality - Computer Science). This advancement, he explained, is the result of corrective and strategic measures implemented by the university’s administration.

Dr. Desouky extended his sincere appreciation to the vices of the president, the deans, staff members, researchers, administrative staff, and students for their concerted efforts, which reflect the spirit of teamwork within the university and align with its strategic plan.

Otherwise, Dr. Ismail El-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, confirms that THE Impact Rankings are among the most significant global indicators for evaluating universities' contributions to sustainable development. The ranking is based on metrics such as research quality, institutional policies, community partnerships, and the engagement of academic institutions with environmental, economic, and social issues.
