Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, witnesses the launch of the Egyptian-French Universities Forum, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the French Cultural Center, the French Embassy in Egypt, and the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Office in France. The Forum coincides with the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Cairo. The Forum is held on April 7 and 8, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof Philippe Batiste, French Minister of Higher Education. The Forum is attended by a wide range of Egyptian and French universities’ presidents, and leaders of higher education and scientific research from both countries, amounting to approximately 400 participants from more than 100 Egyptian and French institutions, in addition to representatives of major French companies in Egypt, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ismail El-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
The president confirms that this event is a true reflection of the depth of Egyptian-French relations and the two sides' commitment to developing cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research by establishing dual study programs, enhancing academic exchange, and establishing international universities’ branches, in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt's Vision 2030.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the forum is being held on the sidelines of French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Egypt. Macron is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the French Minister of Education and a number of French universities’ presidents, within the framework of the Egyptian state's strategy and the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's interest in enhancing international cooperation in higher education, particularly with European countries such as France. It also aims to promote academic and research cooperation between universities in both countries, support cultural relations between the two countries, and expand the conclusion of agreements and memoranda of understanding to strengthen international partnerships.
The President of Kafrelsheikh University also confirms the university's efforts to enhance its international presence by building academic and research partnerships with international universities and institutions, in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and the Egyptian State's strategy to enhance international cooperation in higher education, developing the necessary mechanisms to achieve this goal, and developing innovative strategies to enhance international university partnerships. He also confirms the importance of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship by enhancing the role of business incubators and innovation centers within the university, and encouraging students to transform their ideas into development projects, in addition to the importance of integrating modern technologies, such as (artificial intelligence and e-learning), to be an essential part of the educational system, in addition to working to develop the university's digital infrastructure, so that Kafrelsheikh University becomes an active member in the international academic arena, which enhances its position and serves Egypt's 2030 vision for higher education.
