The General Administration of Student Welfare organizes a course for developing and refining scouting and guiding skills for male and female scouts, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, according to the plan of the Scouting and Guiding Training Center, under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rushdy El-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, and the implementation and follow-up of the Scouting and Public Service Department at the General Administration of Student Welfare.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the University is keen to implement such courses to prepare its students to lead the future and shoulder their responsibilities towards themselves and their communities, as scouting activities contribute positively to promoting the values ??of volunteering and public service, boosting student morale, facilitating the exchange of experiences, and fostering a spirit of cooperation among them. They also hone the skills of self-reliance, the service, and assistance of others.
Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, confirms that the scouting activity is among the most important student activities, helping students learn how to deal with and cope with unexpected events, make sound decisions, and act appropriately, as well as serving others, building national awareness, community service, and teamwork, wishing the male and female scouts’ success.
