The Public Service Center has implements the “Egypt’s Digital Generations” initiatives, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. These initiatives include “Digital Egypt Buds, Digital Egypt Cubs, and Digital Egypt Pioneers,” which are held within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, and within the constant emphasis of the President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the inevitability of caring for building the Egyptian person, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Dr. Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development; Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the executive supervision of Dr. Ibrahim El-Tahan, Director of the Public Service Center at the University.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, witnesses the activities of the initiative and points out the university's constant keenness to implement the national strategy for digital transformation, by qualifying middle school, high school and university students and alumni on information systems and technology, and the role of these initiatives in building the new republic, especially within the rapidly changing requirements of the labor market, which imposed on educational institutions the necessity of keeping pace with the rapid changes in the business environment and providing technologically qualified graduates for the labor market, as business pioneers, and as leaders of the future, confirming that hosting these initiatives at Kafrelsheikh University reflects the societal role of the university by maximizing the opportunities for society to benefit from the technological resources available to the university.
Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, confirms the importance of the human element in achieving the sustainable development plan of the Egyptian state 2030, by qualifying a new generation technologically qualified. The most important training themes are as follows: Robotics and embedded systems; Web development; Artificial intelligence and data science; Networks and cybersecurity; Digital arts; Business administration and enterprise resource planning track; Communication and presentation skills; Time management; Team building; Ethics and behaviors; Planning and leadership skills; Creative thinking; Environmental awareness; Sustainable development; Entrepreneurship; and Freelancing.
In the same context, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tahan, Director of the Public Service Center at the University, indicates that these initiatives are organized by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and the Faculty of Computers and Information. The Digital Cubs of Egypt initiative was implemented in cooperation with the Public Service Center at the University starting from 2/9/2024, and the number of trainees reached (445) trainees from the preparatory and secondary stages. The Digital Pioneers of Egypt initiative was also implemented at the Public Service Center at Kafrelsheikh University starting from 28/6/2024, and the number of trainees reached (56) trainees from university students and graduates.
