Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces Kafrelsheikh University ranking in the international rankings for the year 2023, pointing to the role played by the university, which has resulted in the university’s distinction in the international rankings for which it applies, wishing everyone to continue, persevere and work hard, to improve the university’s position among international and Arab universities, which leads to the university’s elevation globally, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, praises the university’s achievements and its progress in the rankings for the year 2023, stressing the university’s constant keenness to take serious and rapid steps to reach the level of prestigious universities in the world, by providing all the necessary capabilities to improve the educational and research system, in addition to providing continuous support to researchers and innovators.
Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2023:
The university achieved advanced positions over previous years, and the university was able to be among the top 500 global universities in 7 specializations. In the biological sciences specialty, the university ranked No (201-300) globally and the first place locally. In the specialty of human biological sciences, the university ranked No (401-500) globally and the first place locally. In the specialty of agricultural sciences, the university ranked No (39) globally and the second place locally. In the specialty of veterinary sciences, it ranked No (76-100) globally and the second place locally. In the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, it ranked (101-150) globally and the second place locally, and in the specialty of electrical and electronic engineering, it ranked No (401-500) globally and the second place locally. It also ranked No (201-300) globally in the field of engineering and energy sciences and the second place locally.
U.S. News Rankings:
The university advanced in the US News rankings for the year (2022-23), as it ranked No (639) globally - (17) in Africa and (5) locally in the ranking among (2165) international universities included in the ranking this year, compared to the rank (914) globally - (27) in Africa and (8) locally for the year (2021-2022). Thus, the university advanced 275 global positions.
U.S. News & World Report ranking of specializations:
The university appeared in the subject area in the US News ranking for the year (2022-23) in the specialization of plant and animal sciences, as It ranked No (137) internationally, (2) in Africa, and the first locally, in the engineering sciences specialization, as it ranked No (302) internationally, No (4) in Africa, and No (3) locally.
QS Arab Region University Rankings 2023:
The university was included in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2023 and ranked No (101-110) in the Arab region. The university was also included in the QS Ranking for Sustainability for the first time and ranked No (1201+) globally.
UI Green Metric World University Rankings:
The university was ranked among the green and environmentally friendly universities, ranking the 7th place locally, and among the top 500 universities globally, ranking the 306th place for the year 2023. The ranking included 1,183 universities this year compared to last year, in which 1,080 universities from various countries of the world participated.
Arab Ranking of Arab universities:
Kafrelsheikh University was included in the list of the Arab ranking of Arab universities, and the university ranked the 18th place in the Arab world out of a total of 115 Arab universities and the seventh place locally out of a total of 28 Egyptian government universities that applied for this ranking, in the first edition of the Arab ranking of Arab universities for the year 2023 issued by the Association of Arab Universities.
THE World University Rankings 2024:
The university ranked No 800-1000 in the British Times Ranking, which includes (2673) international universities. Thus, Kafrelsheikh University maintained the second level among the 29 Egyptian universities included in this ranking. The university also ranked the 410th place in the global scientific research standard, Research Quality (Ranked 410).
THE World University Rankings of Specialization:
The university achieved advanced positions in THE World University Rankings, as the university appeared among the top 500 universities in the field of life sciences and ranked No 401-500 globally and the second locally. In the field of physics, it ranked No 501-600 globally and the second locally, and in the field of clinical medical sciences it ranked No 501-600 globally and the third locally. In the field of engineering, it ranked No 601-800 globally and the third place locally.
THE World University Rankings of Arab Universities:
The university ranked in THE World University Rankings of higher education institutions for the Arab region in its third edition, document 2023. The university ranked the 49th place among Arab universities. Among (313) universities and educational institutions, it appeared in the ranking, as Universities from (18) different Arab countries participated, and the university ranked locally No (8) among (37) Egyptian universities.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings:
The university ranked No (601-800) internationally in the Times Sustainable Development (Impact) ranking, according to the British Times Ranking 2023.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings of Emerging Universities:
The university ranked No (151-200) globally in The Times Higher Education World University Rankings of Emerging Universities that were established within 50 years or less. It ranked the second place locally out of (30) Egyptian universities included in this ranking, which included (963) universities internationally.
Spanish Webometrics Ranking:
The university advanced in the Spanish Webometrics Ranking (124) global positions, as the university ranked the place No 1,583 globally, compared to 1,707 in 2022 among 11,993 global universities listed in 2023.
SCIMAGO Rankings:
The university advanced in the Spanish SCIMAGO Rankings (785) places globally, as the university ranked No 3788 internationally, compared to No 4573 in 2022, and No 7 locally, compared to No 11 in 2022, within (8433) universities and higher education institutions.
The Turkish URAP Ranking:
The university achieved progress in (121) global positions in the Turkish ranking of universities according to URAP academic performance, as it ranked No (834) globally compared to No (964) for the year 2022 out of a total of (3000) international universities and No (10) locally out of a total of (33) Egyptian universities.
