Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, receives Dr. Osama Al-Hadidi, Director of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa; Dr. Abd Allah Salama, member of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa in the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the supervisor of the Family and Community Awareness Program in the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Sheikhdom, and Dr. Al-Sayyid Arafa, a member of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa in the Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Sheikhdom, within the framework of cooperation between the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Kafrelsheikh University, and based on the pioneering role played by the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar and Kafrelsheikh University in paying attention to youth issues, disseminating religious awareness, educating society, and preserving the Egyptian family.
the university, in cooperation with the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, represented by the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, implements a course on “Preparing those about to get married” within the family and community awareness program with the slogan “Stable family = safe society”, within the joint cooperation protocol between the two sides, under the patronage of the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Rushdy Al-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, and followed by Ehab Gad, Director of the Cultural and Artistic Activity Department, Dr. Hana Bidir Tantawy, Director of the Social Activity Department at the General Administration of Student Welfare.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, points out that the aim of these seminars is to correct misconceptions among young people, disseminate community and family awareness, strengthen the structure of the Egyptian family and increase its cohesion, support the people of the country in defending it and its capabilities, and reduce and confront the phenomenon of extremism, in addition to how to protect oneself and others from falling into the clutches of extremist ideas, pointing out that the current situation requires an educational strategy that takes into account the religious and moral system of our societies, with the aim of preserving identity, and keeping our children from falling victim to extremist ideas, which aim to influence their identity and affiliations.
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, indicates that the course includes several lectures held at the university campus by female students, and these lectures included the presence of a family as a religious and societal necessity, choosing a life partner, engagement rules, marriage rules, the art of dealing with spouses, managing conflict between spouses, and good upbringing of children. The course activities end with the handing over of certificates to the trainees and honoring them.
