Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces that the university wins the 49th place in THE Times Higher Education Ranking of Arab universities for the year 2023, and the eighth place at the level of Egyptian public universities, which is an achievement for the university’s administration and family.
Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki, President of the University, points out that international university rankings are one of the most important means through which academic levels in the university education sector are judged according to standards and conditions that are determined with scientific objectivity. THE “Times” Ranking is one of the most prominent international rankings in governing with objectivity and transparency at the level of universities in the world, stressing the university’s interest in developing the scientific research system and supporting researchers with the necessary capabilities to increase the number of research and international participation to achieve advanced positions in international rankings in the various specializations that are included in each ranking.
Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, says that this ranking is based in evaluating the best Arab universities on 5 main areas: teaching “learning environment” 33%, and scientific research “the volume or rate of research productivity, “Research income and reputation” 33%, reference citations “research impact” 20%, society “knowledge transfer and impact” 6%, and international expectations “employees, students and scientific research” 8%.
