Kafrelsheikh University gets the sixth
rank over Arab Countries and 129 in the world in friendly environment green universities world-ranking
according to classification of Green Metrix which classifies universities on
the basis of standards relating to campus and the extent of commitment to
standards of environmental sustainability
of green spaces, trees and infrastructure of streets and sidewalks
compatible with requirements of special needs, rationalization of energy
consumption and the use of solar energy in some university facilities and
standard of education requirements.
As well, Nottingham University gets the
first rank in the world and 12 Arab universities get ranks in classification;
two of them from Egypt are American University in Cairo which ranks (103) and
Kafrelsheikh University (129) while four Jordanian universities rank the
following: Jordan University of Science and Technology (49), Jordan University
(103), Petra University (253) and Hashimt University (345), then, Palestine
University with two universities are Islamic University of Gaza (87) and
national Najah University (97), while Lebanon University with one university is
American University in Beirut (197) and King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi
Arabia (203), United Arab Emirates University (240), Damascus University, Syria
(330) and Judge Ayad University, Morocco (340). The rest of Arab Countries
Universities are missed.
