New Method for the Detection of Fish Tissue Microbes by Using Nanometer Gold Particles


The president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary witnesses today Tuesday the first Master’s Degree discussion in the Faculty of Fisheries for the researcher Ahmed Mustafa Kamil about how to use nanometer particles as a new tool for the detection of Aeromonads Hedrofila in fish tissue using nanometer gold united with part of the genetic sequence of a microbe. The tests done on tilapia has shown that the new method is more efficient than the typical methods used before and cheap price. This is a new discovery that opens new horizons in the field of safety and health of food especially in fishes.

As well, the jury members mentions that this thesis is the first reference in this field and a value scientific addition.

This thesis is supervised by the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and Dr Nader Yahia Mustafa, the vice dean for post-graduation for post-graduation, while judgment and discussion committee includes Dr Mohamed Khalid el Musalmi, the professor of health control on food at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University and Dr Mohamed Ahmed Hasan, the professor of health control on food at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Banha University.
