Excellence in performance  and keeping up to date with all developments in science to prepare generations of dentists capable of early diagnosis and treatment of oral and dental diseases.

Mission

Preparing scientifically and practically qualified graduates capable of diagnosing, describing and treating pathological conditions that affect oral and perioral blood vessels and nerve tissues through integrated, distinct study program and modern educational methods.

Objectives

·    Preparing graduates capable of:

·         Early diagnosis and intervention for the treatment of various oral diseases.

·         The use of modern methods in the clinical diagnosis of oral diseases.

·         Identify the causes, processes, effects and management of diseases affecting oral and maxillofacial region.

·         Explanation of the scientific terminology for oral pathology course.

·         Making comparisons between different diagnoses of similar diseases.

·         Immediate diagnosis and discrimination between different diseases using microscope.

·         Team work and participation with each other to reach the final diagnosis.

·         Increasing community awareness through the use of experiences gained from education.

·         Positive interaction with the members of department through scientific discussion.

·         Enable the students to diagnose different diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic features as well as biochemical and other analytical methods.
