Within the framework of working on
the diagnosis of societal problems, the effective contribution to overcome them
and the activation of scientific research in the fields of societal
responsibility for contribution to meet the needs of society and sustainable
development service, the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary receives Philip,
doctorate student from Stirling University, Scotland and have three-month
scientific mission at Kafrelsheikh University funded by scientific project
between the two universities in the field of diagnosis tilapia diseases,
reducing its impact or its spread in fish farms.
This meeting includes following-up
work in the research project, discussing research results, harnessing the
university possibilities for project success, finding solutions that contribute
to increase fish resistance to diseases and reducing the loss to meet the
growing demand on fishes.
As well, el Kemary points out that
this project aims to find a solution to the ambiguity of the death of Egyptian
tilapia in some seasons.
It is worth mentioning that the
president does a visit for United Kingdom last week to participate in workshops
with Scottish side, donors and industrial sector to discuss the outputs of
scientific project, develop and encourage the fields of scientific cooperation
between the two universities and maximize the benefit from project outputs and
future work plan.
