Overview of the Department:
The Department of Statistics, Actuarial Science, and Insurance was established after the independence of Kafr El-Sheikh University in 2006. This department aims to equip undergraduate students with skills in dealing with quantitative information related to various fields, with a focus on financial and commercial fields. This is achieved through specialized courses in statistics and actuarial science, such as applied statistics, business actuarial science, and investment actuarial science. The department also focuses on providing students with general computer skills, with a focus on programs related to the commercial field.
The department began with the opening of postgraduate studies at the college, preparing courses that contribute to raising the efficiency of graduates. Currently, the department is preparing postgraduate programs that grant specialized professional degrees.
In terms of community service, the department provides consultancy services in the fields of statistics and insurance, as well as offering many courses and workshops to equip individuals with specialized computer skills.
