A group of international researchers visited Kafrelsheikh University's Faculty of Agriculture. Professor Dr. Yahya Zakaria Eid, the Dean of the College, welcomed them on the morning of Wednesday, September 27, 2023. These researchers are part of the international team working on the saline agriculture development project, in collaboration with Kafrelsheikh University. They gathered for their second annual meeting to discuss the project's progress.

The international research team hails from five countries: Egypt, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Morocco. The primary objective of the project is to cultivate highly productive agricultural crops using saltwater irrigation. This approach aims to reduce the consumption of freshwater resources, benefitting both other crops and meeting the demands of industries and the growing population. The project aligns with the strategic goals of Egypt's Vision 2030, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
