Kafrelsheikh University has achieved a new international accomplishment, as it continued to maintain the first position locally and in Africa at the level of Egyptian universities and the fourth place in the Arab World in the "UI Green Metric" World University Ranking organized by the universities of Indonesia. The university also ranked No 117 globally, preceding 20 centers from last year.

As well, the President Prof Dr Abed el-Razik Dousoki states that the UI Green Metric Ranking or green universities, organized by universities in Indonesia, is concerned with green universities that are environmentally friendly. This ranking depends on basic criteria such as green statistics, energy, climatic change, waste management, waste management, water consumption, transportation and education.

He also adds that the university adopts the implementation of the United Nations goals to achieve sustainable development, both for the university community and the surrounding community, in line with Egypt’s plan for sustainable development 2030
