Two Foreign Universities and 23 Egyptian Universities in the Forty Scientific Conference of Cells and Tissues at Kafrelsheikh University

Under the patronage of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary, the events of the annual international conference of Egyptian Society of cells and tissues is held today Thursday 29/12/2016 in the conferences hall at the Faculty of Medicine entitled “Evaluation of Stem Cell Therapy in Cardiac Diseases”.

From his part, the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary welcomes in his opening speech the attendees and stresses that this conference is one of important conferences embraced by Kafrelsheikh University as he cares for an important topic and modern technology which is considered to be one of the most important revolutions in the twenty-first century as it will open new horizons for treatment in chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood diseases and immune diseases, and also in tumors and diseases that have no therapeutic discoveries until now.

As well, he calls on all shareholders and participants to discuss the prospects and developments in this new science in terms of process of separating cells and the method of cultivation of tissues and used modern techniques as well as opening the field more and more and expanding for wider prospects for the future of medical faculties and medical education in Egypt within the new developments and new techniques in the treatment; especially at the beginning of the 2020, there will be new techniques in the treatment such as Nanotechnology used in the remedy and diagnosis in a large scale. We also need to develop the faculties of Medicine and prepare for new documents in the remedy as there are much research whose results begin to appear in new promising techniques for remedy.

It is worth mentioning that the remedy by stem cell is a new method for the remedy of patients who suffer from coronary artery disease which aims to improve the symptoms especially if other ways of remedy have failed such as the expansion of the coronary arteries with a balloon catheter and avoid surgery failure and it is also used to treat the patients who suffer from heart failure as these cells has the ability to grow and change in the body cells because it is responsible for repairing the damaged cells as it can work and divide and they are still alive.

At the end of his speech, el Kemary wishes to form a committee to study this topic to enable the next conference to be the future of medical education in Egypt within the developments for used modern techniques in the remedy currently and expected over the next three years within the modern researches whose results begin to be used in some universities, wishing the success for everyone. Otherwise, the conference discusses the latest researches in the field of cells and tissues especially the applications of stem cells for the remedy of heart diseases, pointing out that the conference is attended by elite of specialized professors in the science of tissues, stem cells and heart from two foreign universities and 23 Egyptian universities to display their latest researches in this field.
