The President witnesses the Semi-finals of the "Youth for Development" Initiative


 Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, witnesses the semi-finals for the “Youth for Development” initiative to choose the best development project and best policy paper for the year 2022/2023, which is held in cooperation between the Ministries of Planning and Economic Development, Higher Education and Scientific Research represented by the Supreme Council of Universities, under the patronage of Dr. Hala El-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development; Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, and Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The President praises the efforts made in this framework, and the participation of students in student competitions with their various tracks, whether the track of development projects or the track of policy papers, confirming the importance of public and private training programs in empowering young people to prepare policy papers and development projects that can be implemented on the ground.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, indicates that this initiative is characterized by the active participation of young people in the decision-making process by participating with innovative and advanced ideas in preparing policy papers and development projects that include creative youth visions supported by executive mechanisms for presentation to the competent authorities in the country.

 

Dr. Rushdi Al-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities and Coordinator of the Youth for Development Initiative at the university, reviews the time map for implementing the initiative, starting from December 4, 2022 until now, as a semi-final stage for the qualifiers, provided that the next two stages are completed according to the schedule set for it.
