The Launch of the Activities of the Seventh Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

Today, Tuesday, 23/4/2024, Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, and Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, opens the seventh scientific conference of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, entitled “Veterinary Medicine and Sustainable Development within Egypt’s Vision 2030,” which is organized by the faculty from the 23rd to the 27th of this April.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, welcomes the attendees and thanks everyone who participates in the preparation and success of this conference, explaining that the conference aims to encourage applied scientific research in the field of veterinary medicine, the protection of livestock, poultry and fish wealth from imported epidemic diseases, emphasizing the safety and quality of foods of animal origin, and improving the national economy by using the results of scientific research to solve local problems, explaining that the conference’s activities constitute, in their entirety, an emphasis on the importance of veterinary medicine and its ability to make an influential difference in achieving comprehensive development endeavors and Egypt’s vision.

Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, expresses his pride in being at Kafrelsheikh University, directing his thanks and appreciation to the university’s leaders, saying that the conference opens new horizons for graduates of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine towards openness to the labor market and scientific research, stressing that veterinary medicine students at Kafrelsheikh University have the right to be proud of their ancient university, which has a distinguished position among Egyptian, Arab and international universities, especially within its interest in improving the scientific research system.

In a related context, Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, appreciates the university administration’s unlimited support for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine by providing all the necessary needs and resources for it and supporting its young researchers, in addition to maximizing the use of its capabilities and resources in developing the research and technological process at the faculty, as well as developing its infrastructure, pointing out the role of the Egyptian state in paying attention to this sector, and stressing the importance of developing scientific research and directing it towards tangible practical application to develop livestock, poultry and fish wealth, to serve Egypt’s Vision 2030, stressing that the goal of scientific conferences is to transfer experiences in an attempt to find solutions to the surrounding societal problems and highlight the effective role of the university in all fields, hoping to come up with concrete recommendations on the ground that serve the external community.

 

Otherwise, Dr. Bassiouny Heleil, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Chairman of the Conference, indicates that holding the conference this year aims to achieve scientific integration at all levels in general, and from this standpoint the conference is keen to develop a number of themes that cover various fields of veterinary medicine, in addition to a number of specialized scientific researches and studies, hoping for the success of the conference in bringing about development in the areas of comprehensive and sustainable development.
