Community health nursing is a blend of two components: public health science with its roots in epidemiology and the art and science of nursing. Therefore, this department is established with aim of  helping student to work with individuals as well as families and groups, the emphasis is working with community as a client to critically examine a population focused practice of nursing. Students assess families and communities to identify health needs & apply research-based nursing interventions at all levels of preventions to specific needs of identified population groups. In addition, help graduates search and intervene and continue their scientific research through using  the available community resources,  evidence- based findings as a basis for making judgments in community health care settings  Also,  candidates whether undergraduate or graduate can develop advanced communication skills in collaborating with clients and health team members to plan, implement and evaluate interventions to improve the over all health of the community
