First and foremost I would like to present my deepest apologies for my delay in answering your email. Regrettably, it just so happen that my day to day events (our international conference, scholarships, kids …) didn’t allow me to find the time I deemed necessary to pay your emails the fullest attention they deserve.

It was really my pleasure to meet you at Smartex conference and many thanks for the good times we spend together; it was a magnificent time in a very beautiful city. The conference, the company, the people and the food everything was amazing. Please, remember to warn me the next time you visit Portugal, you will be my guest. I am looking forward to the opportunity of meeting you again on occasion of your upcoming visit to my University.

I also would like to thank for your gentle invitation to participate in the scientific committee of Smartex Research Journal and in the Organizing Board of the next International Conference.  

As spoken, my main area of interest is non-conventional textiles, particularly, health related textiles, which leaves us a great margin for future joint research.  In order to achieve a more productive and efficient collaboration, would you be so kind to send me a list of your research areas. I will try to find some common points of interest and make the necessary arrangements to prepare a future conjoint application under FP7, bilateral projects or some equivalent solutions. What do you think about this idea?
