Dear Colleagues,
European Commission has
announced the Open call for proposal for the Individual Fellowship Scheme of Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Actions(MSCA) under Horizon 2020 Programme.
This action is meant to
support individual researchers from anywhere in the
world. Mobility across borders is a must and Cross-sectoral mobility
is also encouraged.
Experienced
researchers (Researchers with doctoral degree or at least four years’
full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline) can
apply based on an application prepared jointly by the
researcher and host organisation in an academic or non-academic
sector.
All Individual Fellowships
are expected to strengthen the contact network of both the researcher and the
host organisation(s), to support the development of researcher’s
career and to enhance and maximize their contribution to the knowledge-based
economy and society. This grant supports an allowance to
cover living, travel and family costs of the Fellow - as
illustrated in the table hereinafter - and also the research costs
and overheads of the host organisation(s) (usually a university, research
center or a company in Europe).
Individual Fellowships has
two types:
European Fellowships
· Held
in the EU member States (MS) or Associated Countries to Horizon 2020 (AC).
·
The researcher must move or have moved from any country to
the MS or AC where the beneficiary is located for 1 to 2 years.
Global Fellowships
· The
Global Fellowships start with a significant period (1 to 2 years) spent at a
partner organisation located outside of Europe and conclude with a mandatory
return phase in Europe.
· There
is a mandatory one-year return period to a host organisation located in
an EU Member State or Associated Country to Horizon 2020.
* In the Global Fellowship,
the Fellow should have the European Nationality or be a long term resident (5
years at least) in an EU Member Sates or Associated Country to H2020.
European and Global
Fellowships can also include a secondment period of up to 3 or 6
months in another organisation in Europe, where this would boost the impact of
the fellowship.
