A Religious Seminar entitled “The Role of Women in the Renaissance of Society from an Islamic Perspective” at the Faculty of Medicine within the Presidential Initiative for Human Development

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organizes, in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, a religious Seminar entitled “The Role of Women in the Renaissance of Society from an Islamic Perspective” at the Faculty of Medicine, within the educational program: preaching convoys and religious guidance, which is held within the framework of the initiative of the President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, "A New Beginning for Human Building," under the patronage of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Wael El-Feki, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Hatem El-Gohary, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Students’ Affairs, and the implementation and follow-up of Dr. Tharwat El-Morshidy, Director of the Planning Department at the General Administration of Environmental Projects at the University, within the framework of cooperation between Kafrelsheikh University and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and based on the pioneering role played by the Egyptian state in caring for youth issues, disseminating religious awareness, educating society, and preserving the Egyptian family.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, the aim of these seminars is the university’s keenness to promote social values, raise awareness of women’s issues, shape the youth’s culture towards women, and change their way of thinking about life trends related to various women’s issues such as protecting and empowering them, with the aim of promoting societal culture and confirming the importance of women’s role in society throughout history, as she is the effective and fundamental engine in building and advancing nations.

 

Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, confirms that the university organizes religious awareness and guidance campaigns, seminars, and programs, due to their importance and impact on the stability of Egyptian society, through introducing the true religion and correcting misconceptions among young people, in line with the state’s interest in such convoys to protect the Egyptian family and society from external influences and ideas.
