Kafr El-Sheikh University Hospital witnessed a free campaign for awareness and early screening for breast cancer, using a mammogram, and educating women on the method of self-examination in cooperation with Kafr El-Sheikh University Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine, and the National Council for Women. Medical examinations are performed on women in the period from 13-21 of this September, raising awareness for a large number of women, referring patients to the oncology department to begin the treatment process, and performing the necessary operations for free.

This comes under the umbrella of the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, “100 Million Health” and within the framework of raising awareness and eliminating breast cancer, one of the most important campaigns of the National Council for Women, Kafr El-Sheikh Branch, using the latest devices and detection methods, under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Razek Desouki, President of the University. Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Al, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Rapporteur of the National Council for Women, Kafr El-Sheikh Branch, and the supervision of Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, and Dr. Hatem El-Gohary. The President of Kafrelsheikh University added that patients will be directed through the campaign to receive the necessary treatment, and the hospital has all the capabilities of modern equipment, in addition to an oncology department where patients receive chemotherapy and other types of treatments, and they receive great attention and care at the hands of specialized doctors and professors, stressing that The university will soon witness the opening of a specialized oncology hospital that will serve the people of the governorate and neighboring governorates.
