Participation of the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs in the Iftar Ceremony Held on the Occasion of International Women's Day

Dr. Amani Shaker, vice president of Kafrelsheikh University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, participated in the Iftar ceremony held on the occasion of International Women's Day, on March 8, 2026, at the Air Force House in Cairo, under the auspices and attendance of Dr. Entissar El-Sisi, spouse of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, president of the Republic, with the participation of numerous female leaders and representatives of concerned entities from various governorates of the Republic, in a celebration reflecting the Egyptian state's interest in supporting and empowering women and enhancing their role in various fields of national work.

Dr. Entissar El-Sisi delivered a speech during the celebration, in which she affirmed the state's appreciation for the role played by the Egyptian woman in building society, pointing out that the political leadership pays great attention to empowering and supporting women in all fields, believing in their role as an essential partner in achieving development and building the New Republic. Dr. Entissar El-Sisi honored a group of Egypt's inspirations in the annual edition of the "Egyptian Woman: Icon of Success" celebration.

Counselor Amal Ammar, president of the National Council for Women, also delivered a speech, in which she offered congratulations on the occasion of International Women's Day, Egyptian Women's Month, and the holy month of Ramadan, confirming that the unprecedented gains achieved by the Egyptian woman resulted from the great support provided by the political leadership to the women's empowerment file. She pointed out that the state is implementing numerous national initiatives within the framework of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family, including the Egyptian Initiative for Economic Empowerment, alongside investment programs for girls such as the Doyi Program and the Noura and Nour Programs, which aim to develop the capabilities of girls and youth and enhance their participation in the development process.

She clarified that these efforts are undertaken under the auspices of Dr. Entissar El-Sisi and with support from state institutions and development partners in all governorates, contributing to achieving the economic and social empowerment of the Egyptian woman and enhancing her role in society.

For her part, Dr. Amani Shaker affirmed that this celebration reflects the great interest given by the Egyptian state to women, praising the role played by the National Council for Women in implementing initiatives and programs targeting the support and empowerment of women in various governorates, especially within the framework of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family.
