Comprehensive convoy within the Delta Universities Alliance in cooperation with Tanta University to Shabour Village in Kom Hamada Center, Beheira Governorate

 The university launched a comprehensive (medical - developmental - awareness) convoy to Shabour Village in Kom Hamada Center, Beheira Governorate, today, Thursday, 6/6/2024, as part of the Delta Universities Alliance in collaboration with the executive bodies in Beheira. The convoy was held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, and under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, the university president, and Dr. Amany Shaker, the university vice president for community service and environmental development affairs, within the framework of the presidential initiative "Decent Life". This initiative continues the series of convoys launched by the university as part of the Delta Universities Alliance's role in contributing to the implementation of the state's plan and the directives of the political leadership to achieve its goals in line with Vision 2030, believing in the role of Kafr El-Sheikh University in serving not only Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate but also beyond.

The convoy was overseen on-site by Dr. Amany Shaker, the university vice president for community service and environmental development affairs, and Dr. Mahmoud Salim, the vice president of Tanta University for community service and environmental development affairs, in the presence of Dr. Taha Ismail, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Wael El-Faqi, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for community service and environmental development affairs, Dr. Osama El-Ajami, the head of the Pediatrics Department, Nafea Hamada, the General Manager of the Environment Projects Administration, and Mohamed Salah, the Manager of Project Follow-up Department.

The convoy included a number of specialized professors from the faculties of Human Medicine, Nursing, Arts, and Specific Education. Medical examinations were conducted on a large number of citizens in various medical specialties, including internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, ear, nose and throat, women's health, obstetrics, dermatology, reproductive health, mental health, neurology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, brain and nerve surgery.

Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, the university president, emphasized the university's commitment to launching medical, developmental, and awareness convoys to the most needy cities and villages nationwide. The convoy included workshops to develop skills in textiles, carpets, tailoring, and sewing, as well as awareness seminars on the dangers of illegal migration. The convoy included a group of distinguished faculty members representing various specialties from the faculties of Human Medicine, Nursing, Arts, and Specific Education.

The university president directed the continuous launch of medical and awareness development convoys to the most needy areas throughout the country with the aim of conducting medical examinations and providing free treatment.

Dr. Amany Shaker, the university vice president for community service and environmental development affairs, noted that today's comprehensive convoy witnessed a significant turnout from the residents. A large number of residents of Shabour Village in Kom Hamada Center, Beheira Governorate received medical examinations, with a total of 790 cases examined by a select group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various fields as part of the "Decent Life" initiative. Free treatment was provided to all patients who visited the convoy location.
