Under the authority of Prof Dr Maged el Kemary ,the president; Prof Dr Mustafa Hussein  Kamel , the minister of state for the affairs of environment; Prof Dr Adel Abd el Halim Haider, the vice president for the affairs of students and education and Prof Dr Jamal Ahmed el Say ad, the vice president for the affairs of community service and environment development and in the presence of Prof Dr Fatma Abu Souk, the undersecretary agent, the chief of  environmental management sector and the representative of the minister of state for the affairs of environment; Dr Mohamed Abo Wally, the dean of the faculty of Agriculture; Prof Dr el Said Abdu Selim, the dean of the faculty of Specific Education and Prof Dr Ali Mansour, the dean of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the first environmental week was opened.

   It was opened on Sunday 19/2/2012 and organized by the sector of community service and environment development associated with the state ministry for the environment affairs. The opening has started with the speech of Prof Dr Jamal Ahmed el Say ‘ad who stressed that the culture of cleanliness and forestation should be spread among students to serve the community and local environment. Moreover, Dr Mohamed Abo Wally, the dean of the faculty of Agriculture, added that the defect in the environment is from the human, so we should mend it. Besides, if the faculty of Agriculture has a great role, this is because it is the faculty of environment and its role is great in solving the environmental problems.

    In the other wise, Prof Dr Fatma Abu Souk has directed an invitation to benefit from the professors in dealing with the environmental studies, using the energy of youth in the community service, participating in protecting the environment and keeping it clean. Prof Dr Adel Abd el Halim Haider thanks all who participate in this week and wishes success to them.
