Dr. Yahya Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, affirmed that the university attaches great importance to its societal role and seeks to expand the scope of developmental caravans to include various villages and centers in implementation of the political leadership's directives to build the Egyptian human being and achieve sustainable development. He added that the "I Am a Lifelong Learner" initiative represents one of the important axes through which the university works to disseminate the culture of continuous learning and link it to various aspects of life, contributing to preparing generations capable of keeping pace with the challenges of the era.

The president of Kafrelsheikh University indicated that organizing such caravans reflects the integration between the university's various sectors and confirms its keenness to harness its scientific and medical capabilities to serve society, especially in the neediest areas, in a manner that achieves the goals of Egypt's Vision 2030 in improving the quality of life for citizens.

In the same context, Dr. Amani Shaker, vice president of Kafrelsheikh University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, explained that the caravan comes within the community service sector's plan to implement comprehensive developmental initiatives aimed at raising societal awareness and improving the level of services provided to citizens. She emphasized that the caravan was not limited to providing medical services only but also included awareness, developmental, training, and recreational activities that contribute to building an integrated student personality.

The Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs added that the sector is keen to adopt an integrated approach that combines health and environmental awareness with skills development, which enhances the university's role as a primary partner in achieving sustainable development, confirming the continued organization of such caravans in various villages of the governorate to reach the largest number of beneficiaries.

The caravan witnessed effective participation from several of the university's faculties, including the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Special Education, and Physical Education, in addition to the University Hospital, within the framework of achieving integration between various disciplines to serve the local community, especially in the neediest villages and areas.

The caravan's activities included providing integrated medical services to students and residents, where medical examinations were conducted in a number of specialties and 1,422 cases were examined, with the provision of medicine free of charge through a pharmacy equipped within the caravan, reflecting the university's keenness to support the state's efforts to upgrade the healthcare system, especially in rural areas.

The caravan also included the implementation of a group of awareness activities aimed at developing students' awareness, where the culture of personal and public hygiene was disseminated, along with awareness of the importance of oral and dental care, in addition to the distribution of toothpaste and toothbrushes to consolidate sound health behaviors among children.

Within the framework of supporting sustainability concepts, awareness sessions were organized in cooperation with the National Council for Women on rationalizing water, energy, and food consumption, which contributes to enhancing students' awareness of the importance of preserving natural resources and instills in them the principles of positive environmental behavior.

The caravan also witnessed the implementation of a number of practical workshops, including soap and derivative manufacturing workshops, with the aim of developing life and practical skills for women and encouraging them to be creative and productive, in light of disseminating the culture of lifelong learning.

The caravan did not overlook the sports aspect, as activities were implemented to disseminate awareness of the importance of practicing sports and physical fitness, which contributes to building a healthy and balanced generation capable of giving.

On a related note, the activities witnessed a distinct recreational aspect to bring joy to the students' hearts, which included implementing various interactive activities and making masks for face painting, which contributed to creating an attractive and motivating educational environment.

This caravan reflects a successful model for activating the "I Am a Lifelong Learner" initiative on the ground through linking education, health, the environment, and recreational activities, and with effective participation from the university's faculties, in line with the state's priorities in building an integrated Egyptian human personality and enhancing the quality of life within society.
