Religious symposium titled "The Dangers of Addiction" at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a religious seminar titled "Risks of Addiction" at the Artificial Intelligence Faculty, in cooperation with the Azhar Sharif's Kafr El-Sheikh Religious Preaching Area, under the patronage of Dr. Abdel-Razek Desouky, the university president, and Dr. Amany Shaker, the university's vice president for Community Service and Environmental Development, with supervision and execution by Nafea Hamada, the General Manager of Environmental Projects.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Tamer Madhat, the Vice Dean of the Artificial Intelligence Faculty for Education and Student Affairs. The seminar was also attended by the esteemed Sheikh Mohamed El-Bahloul, an Imam and preacher at the Ministry of Endowments, and the esteemed Sheikh Farhat Abdel-Salam, an Imam and preacher at the Ministry of Endowments.

Dr. Abdel-Razek Desouky, the university president, emphasized the university's commitment to organizing diverse events that help develop cultural and religious awareness among the university students. The primary goal of these seminars is to maximize the benefit and fulfill their duty in conveying accurate information to the external community to spread awareness of the harms and risks of various types of drugs, and to correct misconceptions within the framework of community participation, appreciating the state's efforts in combating addiction and drug abuse, in the context of the continuous focus on building the Egyptian individual, who is a fundamental element in establishing the new republic, whose foundations were laid by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the President of the Republic.

On her part, Dr. Amany Shaker, the university's vice president for Community Service and Environmental Development, pointed out that drug abuse has become one of the most dangerous social challenges facing the world today. The phenomenon of drug abuse is a global social issue that indicates the need for further studies and research on the phenomenon and ways to address it in order to preserve the ethical values system within society.

The seminar addressed various points, including evidence from the Quran and Sunnah regarding the prohibition of drugs, the harms of intoxicants and drugs on humans, examples of drug addicts and how they reached rock bottom, the importance of intellect and its role in responsibility, the reasons that lead individuals towards drugs, the role of families in educating children about the dangers of drugs, and the risks of addiction on the economic status of individuals and society.

At the end of the meeting, all questions and inquiries from the students of the Artificial Intelligence Faculty were answered.
