The award funded by Kingdom of Bahrain aims to reward outstanding efforts of individuals, institutions and non-governmental organizations that contribute significantly to provide projects and activities of the best practices and innovative uses for information and communication technology to enhance education and educational performance in general.

This prize is granted for the seventh time in official ceremony held in the organization headquarter in Paris.
