About the Quality Assurance Unit
In light of the ongoing global development in education and technology—which
now includes all fields of work—institutions strive to improve their performance
in order to reach advanced positions in a competitive environment. This is
achieved through continuous innovation and modernization, as a path toward
achieving comprehensive and sustainable development goals in alignment with
their strategic vision and objectives.
Within all academic and administrative departments, and in accordance with the
college administration’s mission to develop programs and courses, the college has
allocated all its available material, human, and administrative resources to suppor
t and develop educational and research activities.
This is done out of its commitment to establishing an internal system for
academic and administrative support and development—meeting the
requirements of internal monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure efficiency
and effectiveness—ultimately aiming to achieve accreditation.
In accordance with Law No. 49 of 1972 regulating universities, and its executive
bylaws, and Republican Decree No. 124 of 2002 concerning the establishment
of new universities and amendments to certain provisions of the executive
regulations of the university organization law, and following Law No. 22 of 2009
establishing the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation
of Education, the Quality Assurance Unit was officially established at the
college based on the executive bylaws issued on 14/9/2009.
On 12/9/2004 (Session 2), a location was allocated for the Quality Assurance
Unit by the College Council, and on 11/10/2004 (Session 2), the organizational
structure of the unit was approved by the council.
Later, under Resolution No. 220 of 2010, issued by the President of the
University Organization Affairs Office, and based on Article 7 of that decision,
the Quality Assurance Unit in each faculty is affiliated with the Administration
for the Development and Evaluation of Performance and Quality Assurance.
Accordingly, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine issued decisions
to prepare the internal regulations of the Quality Assurance Unit.
These internal regulations were approved in Session 2 of 2010 and later ratified
on 19/10/2012.
The Quality Assurance Unit is responsible for managing quality within the
college and possesses all the required documents and evidence related to the
implementation of quality management standards in the faculty.
