 International students

The faculty is dedicated to offering a wide range of services to international students, ensuring they receive comprehensive academic and administrative support. It strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that helps them integrate smoothly into university life. In addition, the Faculty works to simplify and expedite all administrative procedures related to their admission, registration, and enrollment, making the process as clear and efficient as possible.

Undergraduate Admissions for International Students

·         International undergraduate students must apply through the official website of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector:
www.mohe-casm.edu.eg, in accordance with the posted announcement. Students’ information will be available for review from the beginning of the application period.

·         Students who are either children of Egyptian mothers or are permanent residents in Egypt must indicate this during data registration.

·         Students wishing to sit for the Central Admission Exam for technical diploma graduates (3- or 5-year programs) must apply directly to Cairo University.

·         After the initial results are announced, the nomination is not considered final. It only becomes effective once the student submits their documents to the university, which will then forward them to the General Administration for Admission and Scholarships for International Students at the Ministry.

Required Documents for International Students:

·         Original certified academic certificate.

·         Copy of the student's passport.

·         Original birth certificate.

·         Embassy letter for students applying via their embassy.

·         For holders of old qualifications: an additional EGP 500 per year for each year preceding the admission year.

Enrollment of International Students in University Faculties

·         After receiving approval from the General Administration for Admission and Scholarships and the student’s file, the International Students Affairs Department submits a report to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs to approve the student’s enrollment.

·         Once approved, the student’s file is sent to the faculty for final registration procedures.

·         The student must pay the tuition fees applicable to international students.

·         Transfer and Re-enrollment of International Students

·         For current students, requests must be submitted to the Ministry’s International Students Department before the academic year starts for:

·         Re-nomination

·         Re-enrollment for students exceeding failure limits

·         Inter-university transfer

·         Change of faculty/department

·         Resumption of studies

Transfer Between Egyptian Public Universities

·         International students may transfer between faculties of public Egyptian universities with approval from both the sending and receiving institutions. This requires written consent from the President or Vice President for Education and Student Affairs of both universities.

·         Transfers must be completed before the start of the academic year. Transfers after that are only permitted in exceptional cases approved by the university councils. Students must settle all academic and financial obligations at their previous institution before transfer.

·         Students from Syria, Libya, Yemen, and Iraq should apply directly to the desired faculty, submitting a document proving enrollment in a counterpart faculty in a public university in their home country. They will receive a preliminary approval letter addressed to the Ministry. Final acceptance depends on document verification and meeting the eligibility requirements. The student must then apply on the Ministry’s website from August 1st as per the posted announcement.
