Kafrelsheikh University is holding  its first environmental week with the ministry of state for the affairs of environment  from 19 to 23 February 2012 under the authority of Prof Dr Maged el Kemary ,the president; Prof Dr Mustafa Hussein  Kamel , the minister of state for the affairs of environment; Prof Dr Adel Abd el Halim Haider, the vice president for the affairs of students and education and Prof Dr Jamal Ahmed el Say ad, the vice president for the affairs of community service and environment development. 

        The executive committee of the environmental week has decided to discuss many topics about carrying out the suggested program from the general management of the environmental projects, discussing the memo of the assistant of university secretary for managerial affairs about the two campaigns of cleanliness and forestation and creating an entire vision of the topic.

    Moreover, the executive committee has suggested opening fair for the products of units relating to the faculty of Agriculture and anther one for the competitions of the first environmental week, ordering the general managements for youth care to do a campaign for awareness, donation of blood and announcing about different sportive, art and environmental competition. Whereas, the faculty of Veterinary Medicine are demanded to do two veterinary campaigns in village called roana on 22/2/2012 and another called kafr el marzaka on 23/2/2012.

     Moreover, the committee has decided to arrange many symposium to discuss the problems of environment such as: one entitled (the youth and their role in protecting the environment)in the faculty of Physical Education on 20 February, anther one entitled(the recycling of the rice straw residues for the industrial proposes in Kafrelsheikh and the role of the affairs of environment in getting rid of the agricultural residues in the center of Delta )in the faculty of Agricultural, also anther one in the faculty of Veterinary of Medicine on Tuesday21/2 entitled(the recycling of the residues of home as a food for the animals) and one entitled(the climatic changes and its effect on the environment in kafrelsheikh and the effect of the media in the environmental awareness)in the faculty of Arts on Wednesday 22/2.Finally, the committee has recommended that a workshop should be in the faculty of Education  on 20/2 about (how to benefit from the agricultural and home residues).

In this days, the management of general relations in the university  is organizing the editorial, signs, invitation and receiving the guests. Whereas, the faculty of Physical Education is organizing the opening, the events of the week and the end.
