Conditions for enrollment and scholarships for postgraduate studies


First: Diploma in Physical Education:

The Council of "Kafrelsheikh University" grants, upon the request of the Council of the Faculty of Physical Education, a diploma in physical education, and the specialization section is indicated in the certificate.

The Council of the Faculty of Physical Education, based on the proposals of the councils of the relevant departments, determines in June of each year the diplomas that the study will begin with in the following year in the required specializations and the number of students. The Faculty Council may decide to hold an examination for the admission of these students.

The student’s registration for obtaining a diploma is required as follows:

-          He must have a bachelor’s degree in physical education from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from a recognized institute.

-          He must have practical experience in the field of diploma he is applying to study in, for a period of no less than two years after obtaining the first university degree, provided that this experience is approved by the department council.

-          - He must submit the approval of the entity in which he works to devote himself to studying at least two days a week.

-          To submit to the college an application for registration upon the announcement, and the applications are presented to the Graduate Studies Committee to express its opinion, and then submit it to the College Council to decide on it

-          The duration of study to obtain a diploma in physical education is one academic year, not less than thirty weeks.

-          The college council determines the scientific content of each course after taking the opinion of the concerned department council. The college council may also amend these courses based on the proposals of the department councils concerned with addition or deletion.

-          For the student to enter the course exam, he must meet an attendance rate of not less than 75%.

-          The grades of success in the academic courses and in the general grade are calculated by one of the following grades.

)Excellent) of 90% or more of the total marks.

)Very good) from 80% to less than 90% of the total marks.

)Good) from 70% to less than 80% of the total marks.

(Acceptable) from 60% to less than 70% of the total marks.

 

The researcher who obtains less than 60% of the total marks shall fail.

- Those who fail in one of the academic courses are given one opportunity to re-study and take the examination in the courses in which they failed only (Ministerial Resolution No. 2335 dated 11/23/2004 AD).

Second: Master's degree in Physical Education:

- At the request of the Council of the Faculty of Physical Education, the Council of " Kafrelsheikh University" grants a master's degree in physical education, and the specialization section is indicated in the certificate.

The duration of study to obtain a master’s degree is not less than two university years, provided that the discussion of the thesis takes place after at least one year from the date of the approval of the College Council to register the subject of the thesis and pass the prescribed exams.

For a student to register for a master’s degree, the following is required:

-          He must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in physical education from an Egyptian university, or an equivalent degree from an institute recognized by the university, with a general grade of at least “good.” It is not permissible that more than eight years have passed since he obtained his bachelor's degree unless he obtained one of the postgraduate diplomas with a grade of at least good.

-          He submits to the college an application for enrollment upon the announcement and is presented to the relevant department council to express its opinion on it before submitting it to the college council.

-          He devote himself to studying at least three days a week with the approval of the employer.

-          What other conditions set by the College Council to differentiate between applicants to choose the required numbers

In order to obtain a master's degree in physical education, a student must continue study and research for at least two academic years, according to the following system:

-           He successfully performs the exams in the courses determined by the department council and approved by the college council. It is required for the student to enter the course exam that he meets an attendance rate of not less than 75%. The college council has the right to delete and add any courses in the future based on the proposal of the councils of the scientific departments

-          .The student successfully passes a foreign language course according to the system and the level approved by the College Council as a condition for registration.

-          The grades of success in the academic courses are calculated in the general grade with one of the following grades:

 

(Excellent) from 90% or more of the total score.

 (Very good) from 80% to less than 90% of the total marks.

(Good) from 70% to less than 80% of the total marks.

(Acceptable) from 60% to less than 70% of the total marks.

Those who obtain less than 60% of the total test scores in each course shall fail, and those who fail in any of the courses are given one opportunity to re-study and take the exam in the courses in which they have failed only in the following year (Ministerial Resolution No. 2335 dated 11/23/2004 AD)

-          - The student conducts a research on the subject chosen by him and approved by the college council after the approval of the concerned department council. The results of this research are submitted in a letter accepted by the discussion and judging committee after a public discussion has been performed in it, after at least one year has passed from the date of the college council’s approval to register for research.

-          In the event of a change in the subject of the research with an island change, the date of approval of the college council for the change is considered the date of the new registration, and the student has the right to re-register only once.

-          The research supervisor submits a report on the progress of the student in his research and submits a report to the department council concerned with the validity of the thesis for presentation to the discussion and judgment committee.

-          The Committee for Discussion and Judgment may return the letter to its owner to complete what it deems to be shortcomings and give him an opportunity to do so.

-          The enrollment of a master’s student is canceled in the following cases:-

-           If he does not pass the exams prescribed in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) of these regulations.

-          If he did not obtain the degree within three years from the date of his registration, unless he deems it appropriate
