  Educational Technology is a part of educational practices within educational institutions, providing interactive technology learning environments in which students and teachers have the ability to design, use and manage all modern technological that contribute to solving educational problems, and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching and learning process.

    Work to awareness, prepare and train students and researchers in the field of educational technology on the design, production, use, management and evaluation modern educational technology and learning technology by traditional and electronic form, that contributes to solving educational problems and working to improve and develop educational outputs in line with quality objectives and criteria . 

Department objectives

The objectives of the educational technology specialist preparation program: 

This program aims to prepare an educational technology specialist for the different stages of education professionally and to acquire a set of knowledge, skills and values ??that qualify him for teaching, community participation and creativity in the field of specialization, self-learning and competition in the labor market. At the end of the educational technology program, the graduate will be able to:

1- Design  learning situations and resources using educational strategies and  modern technological innovations for each situation 

2- Development of learning resources in line with the educational situation and the available capabilities in line with the results of the evaluation processes and the needs of the educational process and comprehensive quality criteria. 

3- Using educational technology aids and learning resources in different educational situations to facilitate teaching and learning processes.

4- Evaluating learning resources by using appropriate evaluation tools in line with the terminology of evaluation in educational technology.

5-Managing educational situations, learning resources, information availability processes, and technological innovations.

6- Electronic Operations Management for the Learning Resource Center

7- Using all human and material elements in the fields of teaching and learning to improve the efficiency of education, increase its effectiveness and achieve the required learning

 8- Using methods and strategies of education, e-learning and distance education within educational institutions

9- Using all modern technology to solve learning problems for people with special needs.

The Objectives of the Computer Teacher Preparation Program

This program aims to prepare the computer teacher for the different stages of education professionally  and to provide him with a set of knowledge, skills and values ??that qualify him for teaching, community participation and creativity in the field of specialization, self-learning and competition in the labor market, provided that he is characterized by a set of characteristics

1- Providing students with the advanced basic computer skills necessary to increase their knowledge in the fields of computer science and its various applications.

2- Preparing a specialized generation of qualified graduates in the field of computer science to work in the public and private sectors.

3- Contributing to community service and continuing education by providing training and advisory courses and scientific meetings in the field of computer science.

4- Contributing to scientific research and linking it to the labor market.

5- Guiding outstanding students and helping them to continue in postgraduate studies and scientific research 

6-Developing study plans and courses to achieve the requirements of the public and private labor market, as well as the requirements for academic accreditation and overall quality.

7 - Taking care of training and qualifying faculty members to provide them with the necessary professional skills, raise the level of competence in the fields of specialization, and keep pace with modern technological developments. 

8- Activating students' cooperative education and training programs and increasing their theoretical and practical knowledge in computer fields and linking it to the applied reality within government institutions.
