As part of the ongoing activities of the awareness campaign "Your Faculty Is the Mirror of Your University — Give It the Best Reflection,"
the Faculty of Specific Education at Kafrelsheikh University organized a workshop titled "I Am Responsible" on Tuesday, October 28,
under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, President of Kafrelsheikh University, and Prof. Dr. Amani Mohamed Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The workshop was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Naglaa Hosni El-Ashraf, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Rasha Abdallah Gawish, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
It was coordinated and managed by Dr. Sally Bakr, with the participation of a group of faculty members and students.
The workshop addressed the concept of responsibility, not only as a moral value but as a daily behavior and practice that reflects students’ awareness of themselves and their role within the university community.
It emphasized that students are the core and foundation of the educational process.
The workshop aimed to:
-
Enhance students’ sense of personal responsibility toward themselves, their faculty, their university, and their community.
-
Instill awareness of initiative and self-discipline as key factors for academic and professional success.
-
Develop decision-making skills and encourage taking responsibility for outcomes in a conscious and positive way.
-
Highlight the individual’s role in achieving collective goals and working in a spirit of teamwork.
-
Deepen the understanding of ethical and behavioral responsibility within the university environment.
-
Encourage students to adopt responsible and positive behavior in their daily lives.
The workshop also included the creation of wall magazines by students expressing their personal perspectives on the meaning of responsibility.
Students demonstrated remarkable creativity through designs featuring expressive messages, images, slogans, and inspiring phrases that reflected their awareness and artistic talent.
The workshop received great interaction and engagement from the students, who expressed how much they benefited from the interactive discussions and activities that helped them reflect deeply on their role within the university community.
Additionally, during the week, members of the Environmental Committee at the Faculty — Prof. Dr. Enas El-Fawakhry, Prof. Dr. Amira Fouad, Prof. Dr. Mai El-Sayed Abdu, and Dr. Sally Bakr — participated in various activities across all academic departments aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among students.
The Dean emphasized that such activities play a vital role in building conscious, responsible student personalities, and reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to promoting positive values and culture among students.
She expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the faculty members and students who participated, wishing them continued excellence, and that every student would be a proud reflection of their faculty and university.
