As part of the university’s plan for religious awareness seminars throughout the academic year 2025/2026, which aim to instill moral and human values in students, the Faculty of Specific Education at Kafrelsheikh University held an awareness seminar on Wednesday, October 15, entitled “Ethics of the Student in the University Campus.”
The event was held under the patronage of His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, President of Kafrelsheikh University, and Prof. Dr. Amani Mohamed Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Naglaa Hosny El-Ashraf, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Prof. Dr. Wajida Hammad, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, with the executive supervision of Prof. Dr. Rasha Abdallah Gawish, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The seminar reaffirmed the university’s pioneering role in building both knowledge and character, and in raising students’ awareness of the values of respect, responsibility, and sincerity in seeking knowledge.
The speakers were Dr. Ahmed Zeidan, Director General of the Kafrelsheikh Preaching Region, and Preacher Iman Atwa, also from the same region. They presented, in a clear and engaging style, the importance of ethics in a student’s life and its role in shaping a well-rounded personality capable of facing challenges with useful knowledge and upright behavior, highlighting inspiring examples from the history of scholars who combined knowledge, humility, and moral excellence.
In her address, Prof. Dr. Naglaa Hosny El-Ashraf, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her pride in this distinguished awareness event, emphasizing that knowledge without ethics cannot build a nation, and that a true student is one who adorns knowledge with humility, manners, and a sense of responsibility. She stressed that the Faculty always seeks to present a refined model of the university student who is conscious of their role in serving their community and country.
The seminar concluded with active student participation, as attendees expressed their appreciation for the seminar’s meaningful messages and affirmed the importance of continuing such events that nurture a spirit of belonging and reinforce moral and academic commitment.
