The Social Activity Administration of the General Administration for Student Welfare at Kafr El-Sheikh University organized a seminar entitled "The Virtue of Defending the Homeland and its Capabilities - Belonging and Identity Enhancement" at the Nursing College of the University, as part of the Family and Community Awareness Program in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, under the slogan "Stable Family = Secure Society", sponsored by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Razek Desouki, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rashdi El-Adawi, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Naglaa Hassanein, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and the supervision and organization of the Social Activity Administration of the General Administration for Student Welfare at the University.
This comes within the framework of cooperation between Kafr El-Sheikh University and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and from the perspective of the leading role in enlightening the university students by holding many intellectual meetings, seminars, and serious dialogues with them with the aim of raising their national and cultural awareness, immunizing them from extremist ideologies, and enhancing their ability for objective dialogue.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Razek Desouki, President of the University, emphasized that the purpose of these seminars is to clarify the challenges facing the Egyptian state, and the necessity of establishing the concept of citizenship, on which each individual is based in fulfilling his duties towards himself, his family, his society, and his country, spreading moderate religious discourse, building positive human relations, forming the correct national awareness among young people, and guiding them towards the correct ways of expressing their love for their country, and to prioritize the interest of their country over any other consideration, and presenting different views to overcome the challenges facing sustainable development plans and building the new republic.
On his part, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, pointed out that these seminars aim to prepare and train university students to enhance the country and emphasize its great status in the hearts of citizens, and raise awareness among students to push them towards effective contribution to the sustainable development plan.
The seminar was attended by members of the International Center for Electronic Fatwas at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dr. Mohamed Salah Mahmoud, and Dr. Ibrahim Jad Al-Karim. The seminar discussed the virtue of Egypt, the love of the homeland, and belonging to it, and that belonging to the homeland is through mastering work and dedicating oneself to it, seeking knowledge and excellence, and the best example is the army and the police and our brave soldiers who die every day defending the homeland and its capabilities, explaining the meaning of patriotism and sincere brotherhood in the homeland, and treating Egyptians with each other regardless of their religion, and that everyone has a role in the progress and dignity of the homeland, and that it is necessary to preserve the resources, properties, and sanctities of the homeland and work for its elevation and reject bigotry and extremism.
