Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Youssef Desouky, President of the University, participated in the celebration of honoring distinguished Egyptian universities in international publishing in Web of Science, which was organized by the Supreme Council of Universities in cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), under the auspices of the publisher "Clarivate", in a hotel in Cairo.
This came under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Latif, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and a number of presidents and vice presidents of Egyptian universities, and deans Faculties, and a group of faculty members, and public figures.
The Egyptian universities that contributed to the overall high impact of scientific publishing were honored on the web of science website during the three years prior to international publication.
Where Kafrelsheikh University ranked first for universities of medium establishment, the university also won first place in veterinary medical sciences and agricultural sciences at the level of Egypt in the top 14 research fields that are distinguished by Egypt according to publication in the field of specialization.
Prof. Dr. Hassan Younis, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ismail Al-Qun, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Prof. Yahya Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture participated in the celebration activities.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Youssef Desouky, extended his sincere congratulations to all members of the university’s faculty, the supporting staff, researchers, scholars, the administrative staff, and students on the occasion of the university’s winning of this award, and he thanked Prof. From the strategic plan of the university to develop scientific research in an orderly and distinct manner.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Hassan Younes, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, attributed this achievement to the policies of the university administration that support scientific research and international publishing during the last period and the support of faculty members and young researchers by the university adopting many programs that stimulate scientific research “Kafr El-Sheikh University Awards Program - Publication Rewards Program International - Research Funding Programme.
