Supporting the University with 500 Fruitful Trees as part of the "We will beautify it" Initiative


 Today, Tuesday, 22/3/2022, the President Prof Dr Abdelrazek Dosouky receives Eng. Mohammed Koptan, General Coordinator of the “We Will Beautify It” initiative, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdel Aal, Vice President for Education and students’ Affairs; Prof. Dr. Ali Abu Shusha, former Vice President of the University; Prof. Dr. Yahya Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Mahmoud Hegazy, General Supervisor of the green areas at the university, and Director General of Environmental Projects at the University, Mr Nafeh Hamada Ali, to launch the initiative inside the university to plant fruitful trees.

Dr. Desouky states that Kafrelsheikh University is participating in the "We will beautify it" initiative, which aims to plant fruitful trees in the university and the cities and villages of the governorate to disseminate environmental awareness and combat global warming, stressing the university's keenness to participate in all community initiatives that serve the country and the surrounding areas of the university to spread green spaces, calling students to actively participate in this initiative.

For his part, Eng. Mohammed Koptan, General Coordinator of the “We Will Beautify It” initiative, indicates that the initiative aims to reduce climate change and global warming, combat food poverty, preserve every drop of water, increase the green area, combat unemployment, and activate the role of community participation to achieve sustainable development by activating meaningful community participation.

 

Koptan explains that the launch of the initiative from Kafrelsheikh University, which is characterized by its green areas, is under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which adopted the idea by strengthening each governmental university with 500 fruitful trees.
