Today Tuesday 24/12/2019, the President Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousoki, participates in the seventh conference of Higher Education and Scientific Research Officials in the Arab World “Artificial Intelligence and Education: challenges and obstacles”, inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof Dr Khalid Abed el Ghaffar in the presence of Dr Mohammad Wald Omar, the general director of Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALESCO), the ministers and officials of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab World in one of the hotels in Cairo, on 24-25 December 2019.

As well, the conference includes several working sessions over the two days that review many studies and issues about artificial intelligence: challenges and obstacles, policies of scientific research and artificial intelligence ethics within the framework of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in addition to the presentation and discussion of the two ALESCO documents of the general framework of Arab scientific research in the social, cultural, economic fields and Arab  Ranking of Universities, as this meeting is held regularly every two years and hosted by Egypt during this year for its leadership role in higher education and scientific research in the Arab world.

It is noteworthy that the conference selects artificial intelligence in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic during the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research “between the present and the future” held in April 2019, as he confirms the use of technology to serve society and link higher education to governance

Otherwise, the President Prof Dr Abed el Razik Dousoky stated that Faculty of Artificial Intelligence represents a great addition to this qualitative specialization and constitutes a shift in the development of study in the field of information technology.

He added that only 250 students were received in the first year of study and advanced teaching patterns are being used in the faculty via providing classrooms with interactive devices and according to the latest international standards, stressing that the university administration sought to provide all the requirements and means necessary to build the capabilities of students and encourage them for digital empowerment to reduce digital gap and trend toward globality and  competition by providing an innovative educational environment that contributes to enhancing the student creativity and increasing their participation and motivation and preparing them for future jobs and community service.
