CLINICAL DRESS CODE

Appropriate dress / lab coat   is required in all clinical settings. A student may be dismissed of attending clinical training session if she/he is non-compliant with the Faculty of Nursing dress code policy . At All Clinical settings

 

College ID  is to be worn of all uniform tops, including white lab coat.

• Shoes must have closed toe and without high heel; color must be appropriate to the clinical setting (White shoes) .

• Nails: artificial/acrylic nails are not permitted (female students); nails must be kept short and clean.

• Nail polish: not acceptable (female students)

• Rings – only wedding/engagement rings are permitted.

• • Bracelets and necklaces are   not permitted.

 

• Perfume should not be allowed because it may be offensive or harmful to patients/clients.

 

• Uniforms and other clothing worn by students must be free of tobacco smoking odors

 

·                    Course instructor may suspend a student from the clinical setting for non-compliance with the dress code. (This will be counted as an unexcused absence).

 

·                    Student –break time; each student should have a break time between 15-20 min. for courses with 6 hrs. clinical training , it should be by rotation as scheduled by the clinical instructor
