The president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary receives today Wednesday 15/3/2017 the committee of computer sciences sector in the Supreme Council of Universities to hold its meeting in the university and arbitrate Olympics of Computer and Information.

From his side the president opens  "Olympics of Computer and Information" in the Development Center organized by the Faculty of Computer and Information as he welcomes the guests and the universities' delegations participating in competition of Olympics of Computer and Information in this scientific forum which witness the first events of Olympics at the level of Egyptian Universities on the ground of Kafrelsheikh governorate. He wishes them a successful form that witnesses a real competition among the owners of inventions, innovations and skills and also contribute to developing the skills for the students of the Faculty of Computer and Information as well as shed light on outstanding innovations and skills to be applied and used in the different fields.

As well, he says that the establishment of the Faculty of Computer and Information was an idea, but it becomes a fact, so we thank the computer and information sector which helps us in the establishment of this faculty and provide us all support and help.

El Kemary adds that computer and information sector is one of the important sectors in development as it represents economic and intellectual development as well as a national and internal security for homelands. It also represents a symbol for anti-corruption and the application of transparency and integrity in any society and the reason is that the computer and information sector does not need large investments as well as achieves a large income in a short time and allows a lot of opportunities in the fields of work for youth. It represents a national security as the wars of fourth and fifth generations and modern wars depend on the information technology, so we should depend on ourselves using the same weapon.

In the end of his speech, he thanks all for accepting the invitation and attending this Olympics to encourage the youth for competition to demonstrate their competence, innovation and inventions.

After the end of the Olympics, the arbitrator committee from committee of computer and information sector in the supreme council of universities announces the results and distribute the prizes. Monofia University gets the first place, Benha University gets the second place and Mansoura University gets the third place, then the ranking of the other universities is Zagazig University, Luxor University,  Assuit University, Mania University and Fayoum University in the same place, then Kafrelsheikh University and Suez Canal University.

Otherwise, the delegation surveys the labs of the Faculty of Pharmacy, fish basins, fish manufacturing factory at the Faculty of Fisheries and Nanotechnology labs equipped according to the latest global equipment.

 The delegation praises the fabulous level of Kafrelsheikh University in terms of the advanced university research possibilities, architectural and structural sophistication as well as civilized coordination inside the campus expressing their happiness of the university.
