Under the directives of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Yahia Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, aimed at developing the skills of students and graduates, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sabah Abu El-Fotouh, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing,
And under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Lawahiz Dwedar, Director of the Health Skills Enhancement Center at the faculty,
The Health and Nursing Skills Enhancement Center at the Faculty of Nursing, Kafrelsheikh University, organized a training course entitled:
"Basic Life Support (BLS)"
Held on April 20, 2026.
The course witnessed outstanding attendance by trainees and aimed to equip participants with the requisite knowledge and train them in the core basic life support skills required for various emergency situations.
The training program encompassed both theoretical and practical components, focusing on the following key areas:
· The concept and significance of Basic Life Support and its role in life-saving.
· Emergency assessment of victims.
· Evaluation of consciousness, respiration, and circulation.
· The Chain of Survival.
· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures across all age groups (adults, children, and infants) and their respective differences.
· Optimal positioning, compression rates, and depth in accordance with the latest guidelines.
· Management of foreign body airway obstruction (choking).
· Operation of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
· Practical training and clinical application.
The course was delivered by a distinguished panel of specialized faculty members, including Dr. Hamada Abdel Hamid, Dr. Nader Abdel Hakim, and Dr. Riad Riad Ahmed, and was marked by highly active engagement from the participants.
